Flintlock Muskets, Pistols, Muzzleloaders, Gunsmith 1696 French Fusil Musket

The French Fusil was a very popular gun with Native Allies and was well used by Canadian Militiamen and hunters of the fur trade. The term Fusil de Chasse was a common term referring to any flintlock hunting gun. Tulle produced most of these arms, however some came from St. Etienne.

Our Fusil is a very nice handling musket that will serve you well while either reenacting or primitive hunting. For those who wish to hunt, this musket can be completely "browned" for concealment. It has been my experience, and I am often told by other shooters, that this flintlock holds a nice pattern. It happens to be one of my favorites.

All of the locks of our muskets and pistols are removed and checked for good function. The frizzens are case hardened to ensure a nice spark and the breech is drilled with a 3/32" vent hole.

As a value added service we will "break down" the lock, polish all mated moving parts and harden the tumbler and sear for improved lock performance and reliability. This added service is $50.00

We warranty out locks for one year parts and labor. All you need to do is get the lock to us. Neglect of the lock (heavy rust) and amateur tinkering will void the warranty. Our turn around time for repair is very fast so please be sure to take advantage our our professional service. Be sure to contact us for instructions before sending it in.

If you are not happy with your purchase you can return it postmarked within 7 days of the date you received it for a refund of the purchase price of the item returned. Shipping costs are not refunded.
